 Kloiber
 serves

 He

 Clinical

 Kloiber

 medical
 ethics

 deontology

 relation

 the

 medical

Dr.
 Kloiber
 studied
 medicine
 at
 the
 University
 of
 Cologne
 from
 1974
 until
 1985.
 He
 prepared
 his
 
doctoral
 thesis
 in
 experimental
 brain
 research
 at
 the
 Max-­‐Planck-­‐Institute
 for
 Neurological
 
Research,
 Cologne.
 From
 1985
 through
 1986
 he
 was
 a
 Postdoctoral
 fellow
 at
 the
 University
 of
 
Minnesota,
 Duluth,
 USA,
 Department
 of
 Biochemistry,
 neurotoxicology
 and
 cerebral
 substance
 
transport.
 In
 1986
 he
 returned
 to
 the
 Max-­‐Planck-­‐Institute
 for
 Neurological
 Research,
 Cologne
 to
 do
 
research
 on
 brain
 energy
 metabolism
 and
 cerebral
 blood
 flow.
 In
 2006,
 Dr.
 Kloiber
 received
 an
 
honorary
 doctorate
 of
 the
 Victor
 Babes
 University
 for
 Medicine
 and
 Pharmaceutics
 from
 Timisoara,
 
Romania.
