Integrated Health Care System-Engagement and Strategies
Date: Saturday, 7th December 2024
Venue: Room 402AB, Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1, Taipei, Taiwan
Organized by World Medical Association & Taiwan Medical Association
The Aim of the Symposium
Universal Health Coverage (UHC) is a system that ensures that everyone,
regardless of their income level or social status, can access essential health
services without experiencing financial diSiculties. It promotes equity, improves
health outcomes, and contributes to overall social and economic development
by reducing poverty and increasing productivity. In 2015, the World Health
Organization (WHO) emphasized the importance of integrated health care
systems. An integrated health care system focuses on coordinating various
aspects of health care delivery, including primary care, specialty care, mental
health services, and social services, to provide comprehensive and seamless
care to individuals and communities. This approach aims to improve the
eSiciency, eSectiveness, and accessibility of health services while enhancing
patient outcomes and experiences. During this symposium, experts will share
their knowledge and insights to help us find the best strategy and engagement for
achieving UHC through integrated health care systems.
