for Participants of the WMA General Assembly, Berlin 2022
Wednesday, 5 – Saturday, 8 October 2022
1. Meeting Rooms, Directional Signs, Information on social events
The provisional schedule can be found here, as well as through the
CrowdCompass Event URL or App URL. You may find the participants’ list and the
guiding documents in the CrowdCompass.
Meeting rooms
All meetings of the Council and Assembly will take place in the Grand Ballroom (1st
floor) at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Berlin. Please kindly be informed that Workgroup
meetings will take place either in the Salon Bellevue or the Salon Tiergarten on the
1st
floor of the hotel. The WMA staff has communicated the schedule to members
of Workgroups.
Registration will take place in the Grand Foyer in front of the Grand Ballroom on
Tuesday, 4 October, from 16h30 until 18h30 and Wednesday, 5 October, starting
at 7h30.
Your badge will be printed by scanning the QR code which you received by email
or by entering your first and last name, or the email address you used to register
online.
If you are an Associate Member in good standing, please come to the registration
desk to receive your membership ribbon, which can be attached to your badge.
The conference bag offered by the German Medical Association and the WMA 75th
anniversary pin can be picked up at the registration desk.
The WMA secretariat will be located in the Salon Pfingstberg on the 1st floor.
Before the registration desk opens or for other assistance, please come at these
hours:
– Morning: 09:00 – 12:00
– Afternoon: 13:30 – 17:30
Social events
On the back of your badge, you will find the social events for which you have
registered. Please wear your WMA name badge at all times. No one will be
admitted to a tour without the badge.

Welcome reception on 5 October at 19h00
 Dress code: Smart casual
 Place: Red city hall (map: 7 min by car or 35 min walking distance)
 Buses will be arranged by the GMA. Please gather in the lobby at 18h00. The
last bus will leave the city hall at 21h00.
Half-day tour for accompanying persons only on 6 October at 14h00
 Dress code: Casual
 Only accompanying persons who have registered will be permitted to join.
 This tour will include a sightseeing tour of the city of Potsdam followed by a walk
through Sanssouci Park. Sanssouci Park with its exquisite palaces, gardens,
sculptures and monuments is one of the most famous parks in Europe and a
UNESCO World Heritage Site. The centerpiece of the park is Sanssouci Palace,
which was completed in 1747 and served as the summer residence of Prussian
King Frederick the Great.
 One bus will be arranged by the GMA. Please gather in the lobby at 13h45.
Meet the Associate Members Dinner on 6 October at 19h00
 Dress code: Smart casual
 Place: Lindenbräu restaurant (map: 2 min walking distance)
 Only those participants who have signed up and who present a ticket at the
entrance of the restaurant will be allowed to join. Tickets will be distributed after
the Associate Members Meeting on 6 October in the Grand Foyer outside the
Grand Ballroom.
 The GMA has kindly subsidised a portion of the dinner and drinks.
Sightseeing tour at 14h00 and Berlin Club night with dinner at 18h45 on 7
October
• Dress code: casual
• This classic city tour will showcase some of Berlin’s most famous landmarks
as we travel between the city centres of the former West and East Berlin.
Highlights will include the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, the Reichstag,
Bellevue Palace, Kurfürstendamm, Alexanderplatz and the Berlin TV
Tower, Gendarmenmarkt, the East Side Gallery and, of course, the
Brandenburg Gate. There will be several opportunities to stop and take
photos along the way
• 6 buses will be arranged by the GMA. Please gather in the lobby at 14h00
• The tour will end at the Deep event location (Prenzlauer Allee 242-247).
Deep is a former brewery which was then converted into a techno club in
the 1990s. It has now been reopened as an event venue. This event will
provide a taste of Berlin nightlife. After dinner there will be the opportunity
to dance.
• Buses will be arranged by the GMA. Buses will return to the Ritz-Carlton
around 22h00.
Cocktail and Assembly Dinner on 8 October at 19h00
 Dress code: Smart casual
 Place: Hotel Adlon Kempinski (map: 2 min by car or 10 min walking distance)

 Buses will be arranged by the GMA. Please gather in the lobby at 18h30. The
last bus will leave the Hotel Adlon Kempinski at 22h00.
Lunches
Buffet lunches will be served at the Grand Foyer of the Grand Ballroom for four
days.
2. WiFi Access
WiFi is available in the meeting room. The name of the network is “RITZ
CONFERENCE” and the code is “WMAb2022”.
3. Meeting documents
Documents for the General Assembly are available in our shared platform:
https://wmafrance.sharepoint.com/sites/WMAWorkingDocuments. The access
steps are available in the users’ guide.
An access code is necessary; if you do not have one, please contact the WMA
secretariat at secretariat@wma.net as soon as possible. We will not be able to
provide access codes or create your account during the meeting.
Following the decision made at the General Assembly in Taipei, the General
Assembly will be paperless. Please download your documents electronically or
bring them in paper to the meeting. As mentioned above, WiFi will be available at
the meeting rooms, but connection speed and bandwidth may not be sufficient to
download all documents during the meeting.
